Good to know

  • The butter must genuinely be at room temperature. Cold butter will not accept the powder smoothly and you will be picking out specks.
  • Traditional tea butter means melting butter with loose leaf, steeping it, straining it and waiting for it to set again. This is the same result in eight minutes.
  • Matcha and hojicha are the two best here. Skip the honey for a savoury version.
  • Freezes for two months.
