Ingredients

6 servings
  • 6 tbsp any Superboba tea powderSuperboba
  • 400 ml hot water, about 85 C
  • 800 ml cold water
  • 1 L milk of choice
  • 120 ml brown sugar syrup
  • Ice, to serve

Steps

  1. Whisk the tea powder into the hot water in a wide bowl, in stages, until completely smooth. Doing it all at once at this volume guarantees lumps.

  2. Whisk in the brown sugar syrup.

  3. Pour into a pitcher and stir in the cold water. Your tea base is done, and it needs no chilling time.

  4. Keep the milk separate until serving.

  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice, add milk to about a third, then top with the tea base.

Good to know

  • Keep tea and milk in separate jugs. Pre-mixed and left sitting, the whole thing turns dull and slightly grainy.
  • The base holds three days in the fridge. Milk goes in per glass.
  • Six tablespoons is roughly 100 g, which gives six generous 16 oz drinks.
